I came in for a consultation regarding Dental contouring. I was immediately impressed by how clean and inviting the environment was. Everything looks very organized and state of the art! I was quickly attended, according to my scheduled time so there was no waiting. I had XRays done and then Dr. Tu started to walk me through the procedure. After talking with her for a few mins, I decided to go ahead and go through with the procedure and did some contouring on my front teeth. I am so happy with the result, she did an excellent job! After couple weeks, I left his office with a beautiful tooth for a fraction of the cost, pain & time of an implant. The facility is clean with modern equipment & friendly knowledgeable staff. Drs. Lee was my 2nd opinion doctor of tooth implanting recommended by my wife who is also a patient of Drs. Lee. It was very clearly described the processes and the cost during my consultation. They also proactively worked with my insurance company for the coverage and provided me my deductible info.. They reminded me friendly the time and having the medicine prior the surgery. The surgery was smooth and I had been updated during operation by seeing images during progress - very professional and precision. The cost is reasonable and no pain during and after the operation.
From people at the front desk, up to the dental hygienists, the dental assistants, and Dr. Richard Lee all treat patients kindly and patiently. They are all professionally capable and do their job well. The fees they charge are reasonable. After Dr. Lee did the implants for me five years ago, I can eat any food I want, even steak. If anybody needs an implant, the first thing you do should be going to Dr. Lee's office.
Very pleased with Dr. Richard Lee and his whole team (mostly Tina) for my dental implant. The whole process is smooth and every step is scheduled well and each treatment is well organized spanning over the whole covid19 pandemic period. My dad had an emergency on his dental implant and the whole experience with Dr. Lee’s office and his staff was anything but excellent! We received text messages and emails for his appointment updates. Dr. Tu and Dr. Lee were able to see him on the same day. Tracy was very helpful and able to translate for my dad since he didn’t speak much English. Dr. Tu & Dr. Lee both consulted my dad and let him know the best procedure for his implant. Everything was explained clearly to him and what to expect before, during and aftercare as well. Their office was also up to par with their Covid-19 precautions like temperature check before you enter. They all wore face shields and masks. They even had air purifiers in office! I would definitely recommend this dentist practice to anyone.

This office is amazing. They are skilled and kind. We have had a lot of work done and it has always been high quality. Oh covid specific things - I came in Feb for a cleaning and they were already wiping surfaces down and using PPE ahead of any guidelines out of an abundance of caution. I went in October and they exceeded expectations. They have even retrofitted (I assume at great cost) their system for cleaning at catching aerosols. They have an extensive health screaming including temp, 02 levels, and the standard health questions. I very concerned about catching this virus but they made the whole process so safe.
I first went to Doctor Lee’ s dental practice in fall of 2019 and as soon as I walked in, the front office felt welcoming. After I had my X-ray done, I met with Doctor Lee and right away he wasted no time in explaining the treatment plan and then completed a temporary bond for my chipped veneer. In July, I was worried about Corvid-19 and I wasn’t sure if it was safe to go to the dentist. And even though I was nervous, I was also very anxious and excited to begin the process of getting a new smile. To my relief, the front desk took extra measurements to keep the office clean, sterilized and ensured everyone’s safety. Dr. Lee took his time to examine my teeth and answered all my questions. He provided recommendations, shared what to expect and reassured me the procedures would be painless and he was right. When I wasn’t happy with the color of the crowns and was hesitant to say so. Dr. Lee informed me he didn’t think it was a match either and said it wasn’t an issue and that it wouldn’t cost more to retry. I felt a lot better knowing Dr. Lee was more concerned about the quality of his work and his patients satisfaction. He attentively listened to my feedback and he adjusted the veneer and crown fitting to provide a more comfortable bite. Doctor Lee is a fantastic dentist and he goes beyond his way in making sure I was happy with my new smile. I highly recommend Doctor Lee’s office, Bay Smile Design.
My wife and daughter have been coming here even since it opened its door. I’ve been coming here for the past five years. The office is clean and modern. Front desk personnel is friendly. Dr. Lee and Dr. Chung are both great. Dr. Lee worked on my cavities and Dr. Chung cleans my teeth. I even had my teeth professionally whitened here about two years ago.. It took about 1.5 hours but it was totally worth it. 8/11/2020. I have been coming to Dr. Lee’s office for teeth related issues and cleaning for quite a while. I was going to postpone my July cleaning appointment because the pandemic. Unfortunately, I started to have tooth ache. Went to see Dr. Lee in July. He referred me to an endodontist since it is a root canal related issue. After the endodontist done the root canal work, I went back to Dr. Lee’s office. Dr. Tu made a permanent cap for my tooth and also did the cleaning. For COVID-19, they follow ADA rules strictly. They also installed a huge air vent in every room and two huge ones in the hallway. Highly recommend this office to everyone.

I had to go in for a filling and I know the office just re-opened during COVID-19. The staff were very diligent with the COVID-19 protocol. After setting up my appointment for my filling, I got a survey in the e-mail from the office to check for COVID-19 symptoms and clear instructions on what to expect before going in for my visit. On the day of the appointment, I had to call from my car to see if the office was ready to take me in. They also asked again if I experienced any new symptoms from when I had completed my survey. Before I walked into the room, the staff took my temperature and had me clean my hands with hand sanitizer. The waiting area was completely closed off and the entire time the staff fully adhered to the 6ft social distancing and everyone was in complete personal protective equipment. Once I settled into my room, the assistant handed me a mixture to rinse my mouth with before preparing me for my filling. After that, it was pretty much a regular visit. Dr. Tu did a fantastic job, she was very gentle, patient, and walked me through what she was going to do before each step. It felt a bit surreal to be there without my mask on and having to keep my mouth open for so long. I think we can all certainly appreciate all the steps taken by the office and the staff to ensure safety for the patients.

It took me a couple of years to get my other gum and teeth issues fixed. I finally got the metal post implemented last month. During this whole process, Dr. Lee is very thorough and details oriented. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee to my friends and relatives who has a need for tooth implant treatment. I now also have my routine dental cleaning service done in Dr. Lee's office.

I live in Foster City and travel down the peninsula to see Dr. Lee and his staff. The office is amazing! Super clean and everyone is friendly. Ahn-thi is the dental hygienist who cleans my teeth and she is very friendly and does a great job! My last visit I got an A+ on my checkup, a few little "dings" to fix but nothing major, plus I'm being fitted for a nightguard as I grind my teeth at night. I don't have dental insurance and the office is very understanding and help me out in any way they can. Couldn't be happier with my dentist!!!! Thanks to all! Diane.

This is a long overdue review, for Dr. Lee and his team. I've been coming here for around 5 years on the recommendation of my mom. Originally, I didn't want to listen to my mom because I thought I'm an adult and can figure things out on my own - aka I found my own dentist on Yelp. I was seeing that dentist for about a year, MANY horrible incidents later (aka drilling out all my teeth, emergency root canal, thick and uncomfortable crown, horrible recommendations, etc) I decided to listen to my mom. All I can say is, momma knows best.Dr. Lee is very professional and has lots of experience. He's honest about his work and would never convince you to do anything that's not needed. He cares about his patients and their well-being, and takes pride in his work, making sure that everything he does looks perfect. After my initial consultation where I got a second opinion on a tooth, he told me that my tooth didn't even have a cavity and no work needed to be done. This was a shock to me because the last dentist told me the cavity was so deep that I might as well just go straight for a root canal/crown without even doing a filling. 5 years later, that tooth is still fine.The team at Bay Smile isn't incredible only because of Dr. Lee. Everyone works together to provide the best experience for their patients. Agnes is my designated dental hygienist, she's great and deserves a shoutout! I have a small mouth and a huge tongue but she is great at working around that and providing the best cleaning experience while being gentle but thorough. Dr. Tu is also super knowledgeable and efficient. Vianey, the dental assistant, along with all the front desk coordinators are all very friendly. Oh! I forgot to mention the office. There's so much new technology, and it's beautiful.Going to the dentist for me used to be something I dreaded. I was always scared of getting cheated or ripped off. I was originally a patient of Dr. Huang for 20+ years and was transferred to this office around 2013 after they merged practices. I couldn't be more happier!Dr. Tu and Dr. Lee and their staff are fantastic, professional, fun, and stay on top of all the latest technology and best practices in dentistry. The facility is very clean and modern with all new equipment.Scheduling and visits are quick and easy. Location is accessible to all major freeways. Parking is plenty. I don't post many reviews, but I really enjoy the service here at Bay Smile Design. I have been to a couple different dental offices in the bay area and I think Bay Smile Design gives their most honest opinion. I went in originally wanting to get all my old cavities refilled, not because they needed to be replaced but more cosmetic. My old cavities were silver and I just wanted to change it to white for a better look. Other office suggested for me to get it replace right away without disclosing what could happen, Bay Smile Design told me since my cavities are still in good condition and removing it can make the current hole bigger. Most doctors act on what I want and not what I really need and that's why I enjoy coming to Bay Smile Design because I can trust them with my teeth. They will make suggestions on what is best for you and not on your wallet which is hard to find nowadays. I was seen by Agnes and she is a phenomenal job, she was super nice and took care of me even though she had other patients to juggle. I highly recommend trying out Bay Smile Design if you are looking for a good dental office.
Dr. Tu is absolutely amazing. I’m the type of person who was terrified of going to the dentist. It was probably at least 6 years up until a couple months ago that I told myself that I have to go and get my teeth fixed. I shopped around online looking at reviews of women dentists, and once I saw all the positive feedback about Dr. Tu, something inside me told me that I would be ok. Amazingly I only took the pain medicine once after the bone graphing and did not need to take any after the implant placement. I am so glad that after consulted another three dental specialists and even did bone graphing by one of them, I finally remembered and find Dr. Richard Lee (listened his implant seminar 6 years ago). As a dentist myself, I took a really long time looking for the right practice. The office itself is clean and modern but the real draw is the friendly and professional staff, especially Dr. Katarina Tu. I can tell Dr. Tu cares about her patients and the quality of her work. I rarely provide reviews for businesses, but after the excellent dental services through Dr. Richard Lee, I felt obligated to provide this glowing review. My mom had some serious issues with her teeth. She needed two implants, and a fitting for new dentures. I took her to three different dental specialists. Not only did Dr. Lee provide the best price, but one of the dentists said that my Mom's teeth were unfixable, and there was nothing they could do. Dr. Lee installed the two implants, and took his time making sure the dentures fit perfectly. She's able to eat almonds, ribs and corn on a cob! His office is modern and clean, and he is the only dentist my mom will go to now.

I contacted Dr. Lee regarding some chipped front teeth that I had, very scared about what would have to be done as I do not have dental coverage. I was really amazed at the help he gave me and how considerate he was to me under my circumstances. He worked with me and did everything he could to get me the price I could handle, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. My 2 top front teeth also had cavities, but Dr. Lee was able to do all the work without me even having to have any novacaine!!!! Not a bit of pain. The office is beautiful, clean, and serene (nice music, calming) and the staff is helpful and considerate. I would highly recommend Dr. Lee and I will continue to see him on a regular basis.
My family has been going to Dr. Lee for the past few years, and it's consistently been such a great experience. Dr. Lee and the other dentists there are extremely professional and friendly. They're very gentle and careful when it comes to regular cleanings and it's very clear that they genuinely care a lot about your dental health. They will go above and beyond in giving thorough advice about how to take care of your teeth - something that I especially needed because I'm very prone to cavities. After following their instructions, I noticed that my teeth are in much better condition and have become stronger. Highly recommend this place!
My family has been using Dr. Lee since he took over (retired) Dr. Huang's practice. The new office is modern, bright, and well-equipped. We have a consistently pleasant experience with him, and other hygienists and the doctors that work there. Dr. Lee is honest, reasonable, and compassionate. He charges fairly for his company-insured patients and offers discounts for cash-only patients. He ever pushes on service you do not need. He has a high professional clinic standard and will readily step in to collaborate with another staff dentist to make sure the right things are done to the patients. Our family loves this dental practice! We have four boys (teenage down to toddler) that have been seen by Dr. Tu, Dr. Lee and the staff for several years now. The practice is very conveniently located in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara area - lots of parking. They take great care of our teeth, and are always super friendly - welcoming us with smiling faces every time. They also communicate well (lots of chances to confirm appointments - good for a busy family!), and they take the time to see how we are doing, how life is going. I highly recommend it to other families!

Like most, I've always dreaded the dentist. But this office has totally changed that for me! I no longer dread going. Everyone here is amazing and so friendly! I only see them every few months or so, and yet they remember me and what we talked about on my last visit. I like them so much that I've sent my husband and my bestfriend here too! I also super appreciate that they have Saturday appointments so I don't have to miss work. They are very accommodating and communicative when I need to change my appointment.

Dr Tu did an incredible work on my 3-1/2 year old daughter and kept her calm during her filling. We came to Dr. Tu initially for a second opinion since my daughter had a lot of cavities and with her age, she needs to be sedated in order to operate. Dr. Tu provided us an alternative solution and we were so glad we went through with it without sedation. My daughter was very happy with the results. I can see a little sparkle every time she smiles and with great comfort knowing that she wants to come back for cleaning visits. I would highly recommend Dr Tu. She is caring, professional and will give you the best care for your needs.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist. I get so anxious and terrified. I had put putting off my dental care for years, which inevitably led to some serious dental work. I have had to have one root canal so far and possibly another one. I was terrified, but Dr. Katrina Tu is AMAZING!! I am also a few weeks pregnant which makes my dental care even more difficult. But Dr. Tu is so patient and wonderful. She is gentle and ensured I was comfortable to entire time. She is quick and efficient. I have never had a more comfortable experience at a dentist, and I was getting a root canal!!!! They are very reasonably priced as well. So glad we found this place! Can't say enough good things about them. The front office ladies are so nice and very on top of things.

It's so hard to find a great dentist. I've been going to Dr. Lee for 7 years and I've stayed with him regardless of where I've lived. I moved all over the Bay Area and now live near Roseville, which is a very long drive. I always try to coordinate my teeth cleanings so that I can make it work (holidays, Saturdays, etc). It's so worth it! I have two prosthetic teeth that I need to get checked regularly so I like the fact that I can get all of my needs met in one place. There is a very serene vibe in the office with relaxing music, state of the art equipment, and beautiful trees on the walls (feels like you're looking out of a window). I also find the staff very welcoming and friendly. Every dental assistant/hygienist I've ever worked with is great at striking up conversation and really wants to get to know you. Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and I know my teeth are in great hands. If you haven't done so yet it's time to check out Dr. Lee and his wonderful team.

I had a fractured tooth and needed an extraction. I wasn't able to come in for a appointment until 6pm. Dr. Lee and his staff stayed after to help me with the procedure and were extremely thorough and nice throughout the procedure process. Not only this, but this is the first dental office where the dentist and receptionist gave me calls/e-mails to inquire about how I felt post-procedure. It was nice to know I was in good hands.

My husband and I have being seen by Dr. Lee since we moved to the Bay Area in 2011. Not one single negative experience visiting his office. the procedures we have gotten done go from semiannual cleaning, root canal and crown, tooth chip repair and cavity treatment. The waiting room has a Zen ambiance that gives a sense of relaxation as soon as you walk in. The desk staff is very friendly and competent. The Zen theme continues as you walk into the Dental Treatment rooms. I was impressed by the high tech equipment, everything from the dental patient chair, the X-Ray equipment even the instruments, everything looks very high end. Gives you the sense that they really care about their practice and are willing invest in the best of the best. Dr. Lee itself is a very serious guy which threw me off a little the first time I met him. What I like about him is that he is very knowledgeable and will sit down with you and explain everything regarding your case. He is a very straight to the point, this is what you have to do, this is what you don't have to do kind of guy and I love that! I think I have seen most of the hygienists and assistants that work at this office, they are all very sweet and friendly. They are also very gentle with their work and will make sure you are comfortable through the procedure. The check out experience is quick and they will immediately schedule a follow up appointment or next semiannual visit. They will also send text message and/or email reminders as your appointment approaches if you request so. We moved to the East Bay recently but as long as we stay in the Bay area we will keep visiting Dr. Lee for all our oral care.

Everyone was super helpful and I appreciated that they worked so hard to get me into their schedule since I was having pain in one of my molars. I was happily surprised that they have Saturday appointments, I have been looking for weeks to find someone to see me on the weekend so I wouldn't have to miss work. They also were very helpful as they helped me schedule through e-mail, it's hard to find time in the day to make phone calls, so e-mails were super easy.

Traveled 1hr from San Francisco to see Dr. Tu and it was totally worth it. Dr. Tu and the staff squeezed me in during their lunch hour since I'm only in the Bay Area during the holidays. You can tell they really care about their patients. From the moment I stepped into Sunnyvale Dentistry I was greeted by their friendly staff. The office is very contemporary and their technology and equipment is state of the art. Take it from someone who is in dentistry; I would not be going or traveling to Dr. Tu's office unless she was the best. She is a very talented dentist and has good judgment, but what matters most is she is GENTLE and the work doesn't hurt. If you're looking for a new dentist I would highly suggest Dr. Tu!
I found Dr. Tu very honest and skillful. My examination/cleaning took over 1.5 hours which was impressive. Dr. Tu explained my teeth condition with both X-rays and camera pictures, and answered my questions patiently. She didn't ask me to put fillings on eight of my teeth (as my previous dentist did), and pointed me to the real issues. I will definitely go back here, and do recommend this place to anyone living in the south bay!
I started seeing Dr. Katarina Tu in July this year. Since then, I have paid regular visits to her office due to a procedure, and in between, an extraction and crowns for two chipped teeth. Dr. Tu is a very nice lady in general, and in particular, very patient and gentle in her professional care. She also explains things to me to keep me informed, and whenever I ask her a question, she is always helpful and understanding. I told her at my first visit that I was normally very nervous when it comes to dental office visits, and she has been sensitive to my fear and always tries to make me comfortable. I really appreciate her professionalism. For anyone who dreads going to the dentist like I used to, I highly recommend Dr. Tu as your dentist. Dr. Tu's assistants and the ladies at the front desk of the office are also nice.

Superb facilities. Dr. Lee is very professional and courteous. All the hygienists are very detailed and thorough but Agnes is my personal favorite! I have very sensitive teeth and when Agnes is treating me, she always made sure to take care of the sensitivity first and then started the cleaning. That made each cleaning a relaxing experience for me. Her bedside manner is impeccable and she explains each step very well. Believe it or not, I'm actually looking forward to my dental appointments!

Wow!! What an amazing Dental Office!! Today was my first time there and I have to say that I'm truly impressed!! I haven't been at the dentist for a while and because of my previous really bad experiences with the dental services (long story), I was very scared even scheduling my appointment :) Being honest, only one place here in Sunnyvale was just incredible as this one, but since I've change my insurance I had to make a change and.. this time following yelp reviews I chose the Sunnyvale Dentistry - I'm more than happy that I did that!! My first visit was all about the cleaning and short exam. My teeth were in very bad condition (after my previous cleaning in a different place at the beginning of this year, I still had some stains left and I was told that it has to be like that, because there is no way to make it better and it shouldn't bother me at all!!!), so I was really afraid that it might be impossible to make them fully clean again, but.. they made their "magic" and I have my smile back!!! During this one visit!! All done perfectly and with extreme patience!! (I wish I remember the name of the wonderful Lady who helped me with this, but next time I will definitely write it down!) My exam went pretty well and it appeared that I need some additional treatment. I don't know if my insurance will cover it, but they promised to take care of all of it and I will have my all costs provided soon!! Overall: fabulous place (very clean and modern ), amazing staff (very kind and professional - form the first email, then call till I left the office!!), service on the highest level (everything done like it should be!) and... I felt so comfortable that I almost fall asleep :) Thank you Sunnyvale Dentistry!! I truly appreciate what you did for me today!! I will definitely come back!! Dr. Lee was a new dentist of mine and when his practice moved to this location, I've recently been seen by Dr. Tu. Dr Tu is awesome!! She has taken great care of me in my past few visits. She's super nice and personable. She did a great job on my crown. For every appointment I've had so far, I've never had to wait in the waiting area for more than a minute. (This is unheard of for me since my last dentist whom I had been going to for years prior to changing to Dr. Lee's office ALWAYS had me waiting for sooo looonngg - first in the waiting room and then in the room - i got a lot of napping done.) The rest of the staff is friendly too!

Dr. Kat Tu is the best dentist ever! Got my teeth cleaned and it didn't hurt one bit!! Normally, I'm screaming in pain from teeth cleaning and almost alway request the numbing gel prior to the actual work. Not this time though! After it was all over I could feel how smooth and polished my mouth felt (I was long over due for a cleaning). Outkast ain't go nothing on me, my teeth are finally "so fresh and so clean clean!" Thanks dr. Kat!!! See you in 6 months for my next teeth cleaning!

I had a fractured tooth and needed an extraction. I wasn't able to come in for a appointment until 6pm. Dr. Lee and his staff stayed after to help me with the procedure and were extremely thorough and nice throughout the procedure process. Not only this, but this is the first dental office where the dentist and receptionist gave me calls/e-mails to inquire about how I felt post-procedure. It was nice to know I was in good hands.

Everyone was super helpful and I appreciated that they worked so hard to get me into their schedule since I was having pain in one of my molars. I was happily surprised that they have Saturday appointments, I have been looking for weeks to find someone to see me on the weekend so I wouldn't have to miss work. I like the contemporary design of this dental office. It looks and feels clean. I like the white walls which makes it feel open! It seems super high tech and Dr. Huang did such a great job with my cleaning and filling change! I would definitely recommend this practice!
Dr. Lee and Dr. Huang have merged locations. After being a patient of Dr. Huang for 8 years I expect to be just as happy with Dr. Lee, even tho I will miss Dr. Huang when he retires. The staff is very efficient, friendly and helpful.

My mom was not a big fan of dentists, in fact, she hasn't visited one in over 3 years. So imagine how scared she was when she realized she had cracked her tooth over breakfast one morning. My friend had recommended Dr.Lee to us and upon hearing about my mother's pain and fear he was nice enough to set up an appointment right away. Keep in mind, my mom was still beside herself with fear before the appointment but once we stepped foot into Dr.Lee's dental practice, she momentarily lost her fears. The first thing she said was, "are you sure this is a dental office?", and I had to double check with the receptionist to be sure we were at the right place. Besides the fact that his dental practice is NOTHING like the regular dental offices his staff were very attentive and helpful. Dr.Lee himself was very patient with my mom and explained to her the procedures that needed to be done. Most dentists would not trouble themselves to make care plans for their patients and explain procedures so thoroughly but Dr.Lee had spent more than 20 minutes to explain everything to my mom including positives, negatives, and what to expect from different procedures. His explanations were exceptionally thorough and he was very patient with each question. Needless to say, my mom recovered from her dental trauma and our family are now loyal patients to the office. I would highly recommend Dr.Lee to anyone not only because of his expertise, his staff, or his office but also because it is very hard to find such a highly trained professional who would sit down and show that he really cares about his patients and their well-being.

I have been going to Dr. Huang the past 10 years and highly recommend him and his staff they are awesome! Always pleasant, professional and courteous, one of the best things is that the office does offer appointments that are after 5pm on certain days of the week which really helps with scheduling (i.e, if you can't get off of work until after 5pm, it really helps). Dr. Huang has done 4 veneers for me (2 of them were my front teeth) and they look fabulous! He patiently explained the process, was very gentle and efficient during the procedure, always checking to make sure i was okay and comfortable. He is a very skilled dentist and always lets you know what will be the best option for you and your dental health. 5 stars for great customer service and professionalism, 5 stars for Dr. Huang for his dental expertise & skill, 5 stars for his staff who are friendly & always have a smile for you!

5 stars for service. 5 stars for doctor. 5 stars for staff. Efficient is the word to describe this doctor and his team. Got in the office and all research (with information provided in advance) had been done. After a brief explanation of what I wanted done, I was taken to the room, where I was immediately put into a chair by the doctor's assistant, who prep me. Then the doctor came and do his work. He was gentle, professional, and efficient. No fumbling. No frills. No wasted time. The entire office worked like a well oiled machine that does NOT MAKE ME WAIT. I didn't have to entertain myself with TV shows while waiting for the doctor. I felt like a VIP the entire time because I felt as if the entire office was working together to provide a service to my need, sensitive to my time.
Today was the second time I've been to this dental office and I must say that I really enjoy the experience here. First, the lovely receptionists are very friendly and respectful! Next, Dr. Huang really knows what he's doing and I felt comfortable with him working on me. During my first session, I had the pleasure of having my teeth cleaned by their hygienist, Julia! She was super nice and sweet. She took great care of me and then Dr. Leong made a molding for me for my teeth whitening treatment. It's hard for me to trust any service professional, but after having my second session with Dr. Huang, they have got my business! I'll be sticking with them forever!
I've probably been coming to Dr. Huang's office for close to 15 years now and I hope to continue to go here for the next 15. Practically my whole family comes here because it is that great. Dr. Huang is such a nice guy and his calm demeanor really puts you at ease. He is extremely knowledgeable and will always answer any questions you might have. From the dental hygienists to those running the reception desk, everyone is super helpful and they really make your appointment as quick and stress-free as possible. I come here for cleaning every 6 months and am happy to report that I have never had a cavity. I know a good deal of that is due to their great skill when cleaning my teeth. Over the years they continue to upgrade their equipment and keep things current, which is important. It was quite strange getting my whole jaw X-rayed for the first time. When the machine spun around my head, it felt like the future. :) I would recommend this place to anyone. My fiancé is terrified of the dentist but even she cracks a smile here.
I have lived in multiple cities and visited at least a dozen dentists. I recently visited Dr. Huang's office to get three large fillings done. Conclusion: Dr. Huang is the best dentist I've ever had. (1) Dr. Huang will take the take to explain exactly what needs to be done, what he's doing, and what he did. (2) Dr. Huang has a way of telling you what you need to do in regards to brushing, flossing, etc without making it feel like a guilt trip. (3) Dr. Huang was very careful to minimize pain and ask for feedback throughout the procedure. (4) Dr. Huang is clear with his pricing, and understands that some patients need to clarify their coverage with insurance and consider their budget before agreeing to some treatments. (5) The staff is very friendly and professional. The office decor is very nice - photographs of exotic destinations around the world, which livens up the office. If I had to find any quibble, it would be that maybe their front door should be glass. On your first visit, it's unclear that the door leads to the lobby. But that's a small matter. Dr. Huang is a great dentist, I highly recommend to anyone.
I had terrible experiences with dentists in the past, I was so traumatized, I try to maintain my oral hygiene better, so I will never have to see another dentist again. After 12 years, my amalgam fillings failed, but Dr. Leong and Dr. Huang came to my rescue. Their honesty, kindness, integrity, professionalism have earned my trust and loyalty. Very thankful to have found them.
I first saw Dr. Huang about a year ago. I am not crazy about going to the dentist and was really nervous. The front desk staff is so nice and sets a great atmosphere for the office. The dental hygienist made me feel very comfortable and was really nice. Dr. Huang was very nice and considerate and explained procedures in depth.
I have been a patient of Dr. Huang's for the past 2 years since I moved to this area, but prior to that, my whole family had been patients of Dr. Huang's as well. We all have received excellent service from professional staff; even some elective procedures and oral appliances are provided at reasonable prices. They also have early opening hours that are more convenient for busy folks like myself. I'm especially happy that Dr. Huang had an oral appliance made for my father's sleep apnea, which has tremendously improved his snoring. Speaking for myself, I cannot be happier with the care I have received from Dr. Huang and his group of hygienists!
Dr. Huang and his staff are phenomenal. I love coming here. All his oral hygienists do a great job! They offer me sunglasses during teeth cleanings so the bright lights won't shine on my eyes. I live in the East Bay but drive to his office for my semi-annual teeth cleanings. They do a really good job and are constantly asking if I am experiencing any pain or discomfort. They also describe what they are doing as they are cleaning the teeth (ie. "You may experience some discomfort here because the gums are red"). I can attest that they honor their yelp coupon for teeth whitening.
I have been going to Dr. Huang for about 5 years. Never had any issues, and every visit was a pleasant experience. I think Susan is doing a fantastic job juggling appointments and rescheduling if you need to; I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes after I got there, which is a huge thing for me! I've never had a dentist that was so efficient at honoring the actual appointment time! Once, I asked for an urgent appointment for a small chip in a crown, I got it early morning, arrived there a bit earlier and I was out, with the problem fixed, before the actual appointment time! On a different note, there were never any billing issues whatsoever! It really doesn't get much better than that. My only regret with respect to Dr. Huang's practice is that I moved out of state and can't go there anymore... P.S. For some people the cognitive dissonance is so powerful, that they simply cannot accept that other people may have different opinions... Just like the fox from the fable, if the other reviews are not to her liking, they must have been fake/fabricated. I wonder how many "writing styles" there are for writing a review on Yelp... I wonder if my word usage is similar to the other reviews as well, that would be a compliment for me actually, as a non-native English speaker :-) P.S. 2 Of course I am trying to override your review Ally S, because it doesn't represent the truth, in my eyes. I have been a patient with Dr. Huang for the past 25 years and I have been very satisfied with his service. His office staffs are very professional and follow-ups are always covered very well. The hygienists are also very good: giving clear account of what is being done and what to expect next. There are some turnover in the hygienists over the years, so when I get to know one better, then someone new may come along. So far, I have not experienced a bad one though. My son is turning 18 in a month and I have no reservation in sending him to this dentist office. At the point, my whole family will be going to the same place to have our teeth taken care of !
I have been going to Dr. Huang for two years now. This morning I did a quick Google search to find his phone number because I could not remember it off the top of my head. When the search results came up, I was shocked to see that Dr. Huang's practice had only received 1 star on Yelp. I therefore took a few minutes to read the September 1, 2010 review, which was the only review available. Because I wholeheartedly disagree with the aforementioned review, and believe that it paints an unfair and inaccurate picture of Dr. Huang's practice, I felt compelled to write my own review. I first met Dr. Huang about two years ago when a dental emergency arose. At the time, I had not visited a dentist in several years because I was previously in law school, meaning that I was broke and uninsured. At this point I had started my full time job, but was very busy and hadn't made the time for a dentist appointment (admittedly a mistake). So one morning I was brushing my teeth when I noticed something fairly large and hard bouncing around the back of my mouth. To my dismay, i realized that it was a fairly large piece of one of my molars. Not quite sure what to do, I began calling dentists in the area to set up an emergency appointment. Though I made several calls, Dr. Huang's office was the first to call me back (and they returned my call surprisingly quickly for the early hour that I was calling). Within a couple of hours, I was at Dr. Huang's office. Dr. Huang expediently diagnosed the problem, let me know what I had to do, and referred me to a specialist (who turned out to be excellent) to have a dreaded root canal performed (which is actually not as bad as advertised). Thereafter, he did an excellent job of making and putting in a crown, and I have been going there ever since. Everyone at the office is extremely friendly and helpful. Despite the negative 1-star review discussed above, Dr. Huang's hygienist is also great. She is very friendly, always checks to make sure that you are comfortable, and works to get you through the appointment in a timely manner (which is important to me because I am usually trying to get out of there quickly so that I can get into work). With regard to scheduling appointments, they are also extremely accommodating and work around your scheduling issues. And the receptionist could not be nicer - it is always a pleasure to speak to her. Overall, I could not be happier with Dr. Huang's practice, and would highly recommend that anyone looking for a dentist in the South Bay give him a call.

I came in for a consultation regarding Dental contouring. I was immediately impressed by how clean and inviting the environment was. Everything looks very organized and state of the art! I was quickly attended, according to my scheduled time so there was no waiting. I had XRays done and then Dr. Tu started to walk me through the procedure. After talking with her for a few mins, I decided to go ahead and go through with the procedure and did some contouring on my front teeth. I am so happy with the result, she did an excellent job! I went to BAY SMILE DESIGN (Santa Clara) for dental cleaning on 8/3/2021. My sister went there in late July 2021 for cleaning as well. We were rather apprehensive of dental visits during the pandemic. We are thankful that Dr Richard Lee's office takes COVID protection seriously and both my sister and I are "safe" after our visits. Keep up the good work !!
I was referred by my friend to Dr. Richard Lee for a implant consultation. Dr. Lee suggested that he can save my tooth with a new crown. After couple weeks, I left his office with a beautiful tooth for a fraction of the cost, pain & time of an implant. The facility is clean with modern equipment & friendly knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend them to anyone who looking for any dental work.
Drs. Lee was my 2nd opinion doctor of tooth implanting recommended by my wife who is also a patient of Drs. Lee. It was very clearly described the processes and the cost during my consultation. They also proactively worked with my insurance company for the coverage and provided me my deductible info.. They reminded me friendly the time and having the medicine prior the surgery. The surgery was smooth and I had been updated during operation by seeing images during progress - very professional and precision. The cost is reasonable and no pain during and after the operation.
From people at the front desk, up to the dental hygienists, the dental assistants, and Dr. Richard Lee all treat patients kindly and patiently. They are all professionally capable and do their job well. The fees they charge are reasonable. After Dr. Lee did the implants for me five years ago, I can eat any food I want, even steak. If anybody needs an implant, the first thing you do should be going to Dr. Lee's office.
Very pleased with Dr. Richard Lee and his whole team (mostly Tina) for my dental implant. The whole process is smooth and every step is scheduled well and each treatment is well organized spanning over the whole covid19 pandemic period. Dr. Lee is a dental implant specialist and I feel really comfort for doing the implant at his hand.
My dad had an emergency on his dental implant and the whole experience with Dr. Lee’s office and his staff was anything but excellent! We received text messages and emails for his appointment updates. Dr. Tu and Dr. Lee were able to see him on the same day. Tracy was very helpful and able to translate for my dad since he didn’t speak much English. Dr. Tu & Dr. Lee both consulted my dad and let him know the best procedure for his implant. Everything was explained clearly to him and what to expect before, during and aftercare as well. Their office was also up to par with their Covid-19 precautions like temperature check before you enter. They all wore face shields and masks. They even had air purifiers in office! I would definitely recommend this dentist practice to anyone.
Been coming for a few years now. Everyone is very personable and they are very good at remembering past conversations, so you know they actually remember you. In times of covid, they take every precaution to keep us safe. Agnes is always very gentle and does a great job!

This office is amazing. They are skilled and kind. We have had a lot of work done and it has always been high quality. Oh covid specific things - I came in Feb for a cleaning and they were already wiping surfaces down and using PPE ahead of any guidelines out of an abundance of caution. I went in October and they exceeded expectations. They have even retrofitted (I assume at great cost) their system for cleaning at catching aerosols. They have an extensive health screaming including temp, 02 levels, and the standard health questions. I very concerned about catching this virus but they made the whole process so safe.
I first went to Doctor Lee’ s dental practice in fall of 2019 and as soon as I walked in, the front office felt welcoming. After I had my X-ray done, I met with Doctor Lee and right away he wasted no time in explaining the treatment plan and then completed a temporary bond for my chipped veneer. In July, I was worried about Corvid-19 and I wasn’t sure if it was safe to go to the dentist. And even though I was nervous, I was also very anxious and excited to begin the process of getting a new smile. To my relief, the front desk took extra measurements to keep the office clean, sterilized and ensured everyone’s safety. Dr. Lee took his time to examine my teeth and answered all my questions. He provided recommendations, shared what to expect and reassured me the procedures would be painless and he was right. When I wasn’t happy with the color of the crowns and was hesitant to say so. Dr. Lee informed me he didn’t think it was a match either and said it wasn’t an issue and that it wouldn’t cost more to retry. I felt a lot better knowing Dr. Lee was more concerned about the quality of his work and his patients satisfaction. He attentively listened to my feedback and he adjusted the veneer and crown fitting to provide a more comfortable bite. Doctor Lee is a fantastic dentist and he goes beyond his way in making sure I was happy with my new smile. I highly recommend Doctor Lee’s office, Bay Smile Design.
My wife and daughter have been coming here even since it opened its door. I’ve been coming here for the past five years. The office is clean and modern. Front desk personnel is friendly. Dr. Lee and Dr. Chung are both great. Dr. Lee worked on my cavities and Dr. Chung cleans my teeth. I even had my teeth professionally whitened here about two years ago.. It took about 1.5 hours but it was totally worth it. 8/11/2020. I have been coming to Dr. Lee’s office for teeth related issues and cleaning for quite a while. I was going to postpone my July cleaning appointment because the pandemic. Unfortunately, I started to have tooth ache. Went to see Dr. Lee in July. He referred me to an endodontist since it is a root canal related issue. After the endodontist done the root canal work, I went back to Dr. Lee’s office. Dr. Tu made a permanent cap for my tooth and also did the cleaning. For COVID-19, they follow ADA rules strictly. They also installed a huge air vent in every room and two huge ones in the hallway. Highly recommend this office to everyone.
The best dentist I have ever visited. The staff are super nice yet professional and you can tell they love their jobs and are great at it. They get bonus points for communicating though text which made the whole experience even better.
I had to go in for a filling and I know the office just re-opened during COVID-19. The staff were very diligent with the COVID-19 protocol. After setting up my appointment for my filling, I got a survey in the e-mail from the office to check for COVID-19 symptoms and clear instructions on what to expect before going in for my visit. On the day of the appointment, I had to call from my car to see if the office was ready to take me in. They also asked again if I experienced any new symptoms from when I had completed my survey. Before I walked into the room, the staff took my temperature and had me clean my hands with hand sanitizer. The waiting area was completely closed off and the entire time the staff fully adhered to the 6ft social distancing and everyone was in complete personal protective equipment. Once I settled into my room, the assistant handed me a mixture to rinse my mouth with before preparing me for my filling. After that, it was pretty much a regular visit. Dr. Tu did a fantastic job, she was very gentle, patient, and walked me through what she was going to do before each step. It felt a bit surreal to be there without my mask on and having to keep my mouth open for so long. I think we can all certainly appreciate all the steps taken by the office and the staff to ensure safety for the patients.
Had a tooth implant for two molars 8 years ago and completely happy and satisfied. Now I live 500 miles away and came back for my new implant here.

I came to Dr. Lee's dental office about 5 years ago based on his radio commercial as a specialist in tooth implants. Due to my special situation, Dr. Lee asked me to get my other gum and teeth issue treated first before getting a tooth implant. It took me a couple of years to get my other gum and teeth issues fixed. I finally got the metal post implemented last month. During this whole process, Dr. Lee is very thorough and details oriented. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee to my friends and relatives who has a need for tooth implant treatment. I now also have my routine dental cleaning service done in Dr. Lee's office.

I live in Foster City and travel down the peninsula to see Dr. Lee and his staff. The office is amazing! Super clean and everyone is friendly. Ahn-thi is the dental hygienist who cleans my teeth and she is very friendly and does a great job! My last visit I got an A+ on my checkup, a few little "dings" to fix but nothing major, plus I'm being fitted for a nightguard as I grind my teeth at night. I don't have dental insurance and the office is very understanding and help me out in any way they can. Couldn't be happier with my dentist!!!! Thanks to all! Diane.

This is a long overdue review, for Dr. Lee and his team. I've been coming here for around 5 years on the recommendation of my mom. Originally, I didn't want to listen to my mom because I thought I'm an adult and can figure things out on my own - aka I found my own dentist on Yelp. I was seeing that dentist for about a year, MANY horrible incidents later (aka drilling out all my teeth, emergency root canal, thick and uncomfortable crown, horrible recommendations, etc) I decided to listen to my mom. All I can say is, momma knows best.Dr. Lee is very professional and has lots of experience. He's honest about his work and would never convince you to do anything that's not needed. He cares about his patients and their well-being, and takes pride in his work, making sure that everything he does looks perfect. After my initial consultation where I got a second opinion on a tooth, he told me that my tooth didn't even have a cavity and no work needed to be done. This was a shock to me because the last dentist told me the cavity was so deep that I might as well just go straight for a root canal/crown without even doing a filling. 5 years later, that tooth is still fine.The team at Bay Smile isn't incredible only because of Dr. Lee. Everyone works together to provide the best experience for their patients. Agnes is my designated dental hygienist, she's great and deserves a shoutout! I have a small mouth and a huge tongue but she is great at working around that and providing the best cleaning experience while being gentle but thorough. Dr. Tu is also super knowledgeable and efficient. Vianey, the dental assistant, along with all the front desk coordinators are all very friendly. Oh! I forgot to mention the office. There's so much new technology, and it's beautiful.Going to the dentist for me used to be something I dreaded. I was always scared of getting cheated or ripped off. I learned the hard way how important it is to have a good dentist and someone that you can trust - you only have one set of adult teeth. Thank you Dr. Lee and your team for everything!

I recently came as a new patient to Bay Smile Design. The first thing I noticed was how immaculate and nice the office was and they seem to have updated tech I haven't seen at my past dentists. The front desk was very friendly and responsive to my questions. After I had filled out my paperwork, the assistant took my x rays and I was immediately brought to see the doctor. Dr Lee and Dr Chung were very nice and explained everything needed thoroughly. I was originally a patient of Dr. Huang for 20+ years and was transferred to this office around 2013 after they merged practices. I couldn't be more happier!Dr. Tu and Dr. Lee and their staff are fantastic, professional, fun, and stay on top of all the latest technology and best practices in dentistry. The facility is very clean and modern with all new equipment.Scheduling and visits are quick and easy. Location is accessible to all major freeways. Parking is plenty. They have Endodontist and Orthodontist partners next door so it's a one stop shop.I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, quality, and friendly service!

I don't post many reviews, but I really enjoy the service here at Bay Smile Design. I have been to a couple different dental offices in the bay area and I think Bay Smile Design gives their most honest opinion. I went in originally wanting to get all my old cavities refilled, not because they needed to be replaced but more cosmetic. My old cavities were silver and I just wanted to change it to white for a better look. Other office suggested for me to get it replace right away without disclosing what could happen, Bay Smile Design told me since my cavities are still in good condition and removing it can make the current hole bigger. Most doctors act on what I want and not what I really need and that's why I enjoy coming to Bay Smile Design because I can trust them with my teeth. They will make suggestions on what is best for you and not on your wallet which is hard to find nowadays. I was seen by Agnes and she is a phenomenal job, she was super nice and took care of me even though she had other patients to juggle. I highly recommend trying out Bay Smile Design if you are looking for a good dental office.
Dr. Tu is absolutely amazing. I’m the type of person who was terrified of going to the dentist. It was probably at least 6 years up until a couple months ago that I told myself that I have to go and get my teeth fixed. I shopped around online looking at reviews of women dentists, and once I saw all the positive feedback about Dr. Tu, something inside me told me that I would be ok. After my first visit with her, that was it. I have FINALLY found a dentist who was extremely nice, gentle, and didn’t have me feeling scared. The front staff are amazing as well. They text/email you to remind you of appointments, and they even check up on you after having an extraction like I did yesterday. I recommend this office to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed. Thank you staff and Dr. Tu!!

I am fully satisfied, gladly to write this review (my first review for any business) and will not hesitate to recommend his dental service to my family and friends. The office is clean and pleasant, and equipped with a CT scan instrument. As I have no dental insurance, the price is reasonable. More importantly, the implant and crown placements can be done by the same specialist (Dr. Richard Lee) and the service is excellent. Dr. Richard Lee was very thorough and careful at each step. He removed my previous unsuccessful bone graphing fillings, performing bone graphing not only on the old location but also in a new adjacent location in order to make the implant more strong. Amazingly I only took the pain medicine once after the bone graphing and did not need to take any after the implant placement. I am so glad that after consulted another three dental specialists and even did bone graphing by one of them, I finally remembered and find Dr. Richard Lee (listened his implant seminar 6 years ago). Now one month after the whole process completed, my implanted tooth is doing well. Thanks Dr. Richard Lee and the team.

I googled quite a few places with good reviews and called but most of them don't pick up the phone. I left messages but never got a call back. I searched for more places and came across Bay Smile Design. I read the reviews and liked what I read. The office is really nice. I called and they were able to get me in right away. Very professional, nice people. Dr. Katarina Tu was very nice. Even though no work was done to me, she made me feel at ease. She took the time and not rushed to get me out of there. She even gave me tips for my upcoming trip :). When you're in a business where you deal with people, it's not all about business. Customer service, customer interaction and the way you treat your clients is something people look for. And that's how Dr. Tu is. She's awesome. Love her!

I rarely provide reviews for businesses, but after the excellent dental services through Dr. Richard Lee, I felt obligated to provide this glowing review. My mom had some serious issues with her teeth. She needed two implants, and a fitting for new dentures. I took her to three different dental specialists. Not only did Dr. Lee provide the best price, but one of the dentists said that my Mom's teeth were unfixable, and there was nothing they could do. Dr. Lee installed the two implants, and took his time making sure the dentures fit perfectly. She's able to eat almonds, ribs and corn on a cob! His office is modern and clean, and he is the only dentist my mom will go to now.

I contacted Dr. Lee regarding some chipped front teeth that I had, very scared about what would have to be done as I do not have dental coverage. I was really amazed at the help he gave me and how considerate he was to me under my circumstances. He worked with me and did everything he could to get me the price I could handle, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. My 2 top front teeth also had cavities, but Dr. Lee was able to do all the work without me even having to have any novacaine!!!! Not a bit of pain. The office is beautiful, clean, and serene (nice music, calming) and the staff is helpful and considerate. I would highly recommend Dr. Lee and I will continue to see him on a regular basis.

Our family loves this dental practice! We have four boys (teenage down to toddler) that have been seen by Dr. Tu, Dr. Lee and the staff for several years now. The practice is very conveniently located in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara area - lots of parking. They take great care of our teeth, and are always super friendly - welcoming us with smiling faces every time. They also communicate well (lots of chances to confirm appointments - good for a busy family!), and they take the time to see how we are doing, how life is going. I highly recommend it to other families!

Like most, I've always dreaded the dentist. But this office has totally changed that for me! I no longer dread going. Everyone here is amazing and so friendly! I only see them every few months or so, and yet they remember me and what we talked about on my last visit. I like them so much that I've sent my husband and my bestfriend here too! I also super appreciate that they have Saturday appointments so I don't have to miss work. They are very accommodating and communicative when I need to change my appointment.

Dr Tu did an incredible work on my 3-1/2 year old daughter and kept her calm during her filling. We came to Dr. Tu initially for a second opinion since my daughter had a lot of cavities and with her age, she needs to be sedated in order to operate. Dr. Tu provided us an alternative solution and we were so glad we went through with it without sedation. My daughter was very happy with the results. I can see a little sparkle every time she smiles and with great comfort knowing that she wants to come back for cleaning visits. I would highly recommend Dr Tu. She is caring, professional and will give you the best care for your needs.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist. I get so anxious and terrified. I had put putting off my dental care for years, which inevitably led to some serious dental work. I have had to have one root canal so far and possibly another one. I was terrified, but Dr. Katrina Tu is AMAZING!! I am also a few weeks pregnant which makes my dental care even more difficult. But Dr. Tu is so patient and wonderful. She is gentle and ensured I was comfortable to entire time. She is quick and efficient. I have never had a more comfortable experience at a dentist, and I was getting a root canal!!!! They are very reasonably priced as well. So glad we found this place! Can't say enough good things about them. The front office ladies are so nice and very on top of things.

It's so hard to find a great dentist. I've been going to Dr. Lee for 7 years and I've stayed with him regardless of where I've lived. I moved all over the Bay Area and now live near Roseville, which is a very long drive. I always try to coordinate my teeth cleanings so that I can make it work (holidays, Saturdays, etc). It's so worth it! I have two prosthetic teeth that I need to get checked regularly so I like the fact that I can get all of my needs met in one place. There is a very serene vibe in the office with relaxing music, state of the art equipment, and beautiful trees on the walls (feels like you're looking out of a window). I also find the staff very welcoming and friendly. Every dental assistant/hygienist I've ever worked with is great at striking up conversation and really wants to get to know you. Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and I know my teeth are in great hands. If you haven't done so yet it's time to check out Dr. Lee and his wonderful team.

I had a fractured tooth and needed an extraction. I wasn't able to come in for a appointment until 6pm. Dr. Lee and his staff stayed after to help me with the procedure and were extremely thorough and nice throughout the procedure process. Not only this, but this is the first dental office where the dentist and receptionist gave me calls/e-mails to inquire about how I felt post-procedure. It was nice to know I was in good hands.

My husband and I have being seen by Dr. Lee since we moved to the Bay Area in 2011. Not one single negative experience visiting his office. the procedures we have gotten done go from semiannual cleaning, root canal and crown, tooth chip repair and cavity treatment. The waiting room has a Zen ambiance that gives a sense of relaxation as soon as you walk in. The desk staff is very friendly and competent. The Zen theme continues as you walk into the Dental Treatment rooms. I was impressed by the high tech equipment, everything from the dental patient chair, the X-Ray equipment even the instruments, everything looks very high end. Gives you the sense that they really care about their practice and are willing invest in the best of the best. Dr. Lee itself is a very serious guy which threw me off a little the first time I met him. What I like about him is that he is very knowledgeable and will sit down with you and explain everything regarding your case. He is a very straight to the point, this is what you have to do, this is what you don't have to do kind of guy and I love that! I think I have seen most of the hygienists and assistants that work at this office, they are all very sweet and friendly. They are also very gentle with their work and will make sure you are comfortable through the procedure. The check out experience is quick and they will immediately schedule a follow up appointment or next semiannual visit. They will also send text message and/or email reminders as your appointment approaches if you request so. We moved to the East Bay recently but as long as we stay in the Bay area we will keep visiting Dr. Lee for all our oral care.

Traveled 1hr from San Francisco to see Dr. Tu and it was totally worth it. Dr. Tu and the staff squeezed me in during their lunch hour since I'm only in the Bay Area during the holidays. You can tell they really care about their patients. From the moment I stepped into Sunnyvale Dentistry I was greeted by their friendly staff. The office is very contemporary and their technology and equipment is state of the art. Take it from someone who is in dentistry; I would not be going or traveling to Dr. Tu's office unless she was the best. She is a very talented dentist and has good judgment, but what matters most is she is GENTLE and the work doesn't hurt. If you're looking for a new dentist I would highly suggest Dr. Tu!
I found Dr. Tu very honest and skillful. My examination/cleaning took over 1.5 hours which was impressive. Dr. Tu explained my teeth condition with both X-rays and camera pictures, and answered my questions patiently. She didn't ask me to put fillings on eight of my teeth (as my previous dentist did), and pointed me to the real issues. I will definitely go back here, and do recommend this place to anyone living in the south bay!
I started seeing Dr. Katarina Tu in July this year. Since then, I have paid regular visits to her office due to a procedure, and in between, an extraction and crowns for two chipped teeth. Dr. Tu is a very nice lady in general, and in particular, very patient and gentle in her professional care. She also explains things to me to keep me informed, and whenever I ask her a question, she is always helpful and understanding. I told her at my first visit that I was normally very nervous when it comes to dental office visits, and she has been sensitive to my fear and always tries to make me comfortable. I really appreciate her professionalism. For anyone who dreads going to the dentist like I used to, I highly recommend Dr. Tu as your dentist. Dr. Tu's assistants and the ladies at the front desk of the office are also nice.

Superb facilities. Dr. Lee is very professional and courteous. All the hygienists are very detailed and thorough but Agnes is my personal favorite! I have very sensitive teeth and when Agnes is treating me, she always made sure to take care of the sensitivity first and then started the cleaning. That made each cleaning a relaxing experience for me. Her bedside manner is impeccable and she explains each step very well. Believe it or not, I'm actually looking forward to my dental appointments!

Wow!! What an amazing Dental Office!! Today was my first time there and I have to say that I'm truly impressed!! I haven't been at the dentist for a while and because of my previous really bad experiences with the dental services (long story), I was very scared even scheduling my appointment :) Being honest, only one place here in Sunnyvale was just incredible as this one, but since I've change my insurance I had to make a change and.. this time following yelp reviews I chose the Sunnyvale Dentistry - I'm more than happy that I did that!! My first visit was all about the cleaning and short exam. My teeth were in very bad condition (after my previous cleaning in a different place at the beginning of this year, I still had some stains left and I was told that it has to be like that, because there is no way to make it better and it shouldn't bother me at all!!!), so I was really afraid that it might be impossible to make them fully clean again, but.. they made their "magic" and I have my smile back!!! During this one visit!! All done perfectly and with extreme patience!! (I wish I remember the name of the wonderful Lady who helped me with this, but next time I will definitely write it down!) My exam went pretty well and it appeared that I need some additional treatment. I don't know if my insurance will cover it, but they promised to take care of all of it and I will have my all costs provided soon!! Overall: fabulous place (very clean and modern ), amazing staff (very kind and professional - form the first email, then call till I left the office!!), service on the highest level (everything done like it should be!) and... I felt so comfortable that I almost fall asleep :) Thank you Sunnyvale Dentistry!! I truly appreciate what you did for me today!! I will definitely come back!! She's super nice and personable. She did a great job on my crown. For every appointment I've had so far, I've never had to wait in the waiting area for more than a minute. (This is unheard of for me since my last dentist whom I had been going to for years prior to changing to Dr. Lee's office ALWAYS had me waiting for sooo looonngg - first in the waiting room and then in the room - i got a lot of napping done.) The rest of the staff is friendly too!

Dr. Kat Tu is the best dentist ever! Got my teeth cleaned and it didn't hurt one bit!! Normally, I'm screaming in pain from teeth cleaning and almost alway request the numbing gel prior to the actual work. Not this time though! After it was all over I could feel how smooth and polished my mouth felt (I was long over due for a cleaning). Outkast ain't go nothing on me, my teeth are finally "so fresh and so clean clean!" I like the contemporary design of this dental office. It looks and feels clean. I like the white walls which makes it feel open! It seems super high tech and Dr. Huang did such a great job with my cleaning and filling change! I would definitely recommend this practice!

Just left the dentist office. I had a wonderful experience with Dr Joseph Huang. He is extremely professional. He did a remarkable job on my dental crown. Happy to have him as my dentist.
My mom was not a big fan of dentists, in fact, she hasn't visited one in over 3 years. So imagine how scared she was when she realized she had cracked her tooth over breakfast one morning. My friend had recommended Dr.Lee to us and upon hearing about my mother's pain and fear he was nice enough to set up an appointment right away. Keep in mind, my mom was still beside herself with fear before the appointment but once we stepped foot into Dr.Lee's dental practice, she momentarily lost her fears. The first thing she said was, "are you sure this is a dental office?", and I had to double check with the receptionist to be sure we were at the right place. Besides the fact that his dental practice is NOTHING like the regular dental offices his staff were very attentive and helpful. Dr.Lee himself was very patient with my mom and explained to her the procedures that needed to be done. Most dentists would not trouble themselves to make care plans for their patients and explain procedures so thoroughly but Dr.Lee had spent more than 20 minutes to explain everything to my mom including positives, negatives, and what to expect from different procedures. His explanations were exceptionally thorough and he was very patient with each question. Needless to say, my mom recovered from her dental trauma and our family are now loyal patients to the office. My mom was not a big fan of dentists, in fact, she hasn't visited one in over 3 years. So imagine how scared she was when she realized she had cracked her tooth over breakfast one morning. My friend had recommended Dr.Lee to us and upon hearing about my mother's pain and fear he was nice enough to set up an appointment right away. Keep in mind, my mom was still beside herself with fear before the appointment but once we stepped foot into Dr.Lee's dental practice, she momentarily lost her fears. The first thing she said was, "are you sure this is a dental office?", and I had to double check with the receptionist to be sure we were at the right place. Besides the fact that his dental practice is NOTHING like the regular dental offices his staff were very attentive and helpful. Dr.Lee himself was very patient with my mom and explained to her the procedures that needed to be done. Most dentists would not trouble themselves to make care plans for their patients and explain procedures so thoroughly but Dr.Lee had spent more than 20 minutes to explain everything to my mom including positives, negatives, and what to expect from different procedures. His explanations were exceptionally thorough and he was very patient with each question. Needless to say, my mom recovered from her dental trauma and our family are now loyal patients to the office. I would highly recommend Dr.Lee to anyone not only because of his expertise, his staff, or his office but also because it is very hard to find such a highly trained professional who would sit down and show that he really cares about his patients and their well-being.

I like the contemporary design of this dental office. It looks and feels clean. I like the white walls which makes it feel open! It seems super high tech and Dr. Huang did such a great job with my cleaning and filling change! I would definitely recommend this practice!

I have been going to Dr. Huang the past 10 years and highly recommend him and his staff they are awesome! Always pleasant, professional and courteous, one of the best things is that the office does offer appointments that are after 5pm on certain days of the week which really helps with scheduling (i.e, if you can't get off of work until after 5pm, it really helps). Dr. Huang has done 4 veneers for me (2 of them were my front teeth) and they look fabulous! He patiently explained the process, was very gentle and efficient during the procedure, always checking to make sure i was okay and comfortable. He is a very skilled dentist and always lets you know what will be the best option for you and your dental health. 5 stars for great customer service and professionalism, 5 stars for Dr. Huang for his dental expertise & skill, 5 stars for his staff who are friendly & always have a smile for you!

5 stars for service. 5 stars for doctor. 5 stars for staff. Efficient is the word to describe this doctor and his team. Got in the office and all research (with information provided in advance) had been done. After a brief explanation of what I wanted done, I was taken to the room, where I was immediately put into a chair by the doctor's assistant, who prep me. Then the doctor came and do his work. He was gentle, professional, and efficient. No fumbling. No frills. No wasted time. The entire office worked like a well oiled machine that does NOT MAKE ME WAIT. I didn't have to entertain myself with TV shows while waiting for the doctor. I felt like a VIP the entire time because I felt as if the entire office was working together to provide a service to my need, sensitive to my time.
Today was the second time I've been to this dental office and I must say that I really enjoy the experience here. First, the lovely receptionists are very friendly and respectful! Next, Dr. Huang really knows what he's doing and I felt comfortable with him working on me. During my first session, I had the pleasure of having my teeth cleaned by their hygienist, Julia! She was super nice and sweet. She took great care of me and then Dr. Leong made a molding for me for my teeth whitening treatment. It's hard for me to trust any service professional, but after having my second session with Dr. Huang, they have got my business! I'll be sticking with them forever!
I've probably been coming to Dr. Huang's office for close to 15 years now and I hope to continue to go here for the next 15. Practically my whole family comes here because it is that great. Dr. Huang is such a nice guy and his calm demeanor really puts you at ease. He is extremely knowledgeable and will always answer any questions you might have. From the dental hygienists to those running the reception desk, everyone is super helpful and they really make your appointment as quick and stress-free as possible. I come here for cleaning every 6 months and am happy to report that I have never had a cavity. I know a good deal of that is due to their great skill when cleaning my teeth. Over the years they continue to upgrade their equipment and keep things current, which is important. It was quite strange getting my whole jaw X-rayed for the first time. When the machine spun around my head, it felt like the future. :) I would recommend this place to anyone. My fiancé is terrified of the dentist but even she cracks a smile here.
I have lived in multiple cities and visited at least a dozen dentists. I recently visited Dr. Huang's office to get three large fillings done. Conclusion: Dr. Huang is the best dentist I've ever had. (1) Dr. Huang will take the take to explain exactly what needs to be done, what he's doing, and what he did. (2) Dr. Huang has a way of telling you what you need to do in regards to brushing, flossing, etc without making it feel like a guilt trip. (3) Dr. Huang was very careful to minimize pain and ask for feedback throughout the procedure. (4) Dr. Huang is clear with his pricing, and understands that some patients need to clarify their coverage with insurance and consider their budget before agreeing to some treatments. (5) The staff is very friendly and professional. The office decor is very nice - photographs of exotic destinations around the world, which livens up the office. If I had to find any quibble, it would be that maybe their front door should be glass. On your first visit, it's unclear that the door leads to the lobby. But that's a small matter. Dr. Huang is a great dentist, I highly recommend to anyone.
I had terrible experiences with dentists in the past, I was so traumatized, I try to maintain my oral hygiene better, so I will never have to see another dentist again. After 12 years, my amalgam fillings failed, but Dr. Leong and Dr. Huang came to my rescue. Their honesty, kindness, integrity, professionalism have earned my trust and loyalty. Very thankful to have found them.
I first saw Dr. Huang about a year ago. I am not crazy about going to the dentist and was really nervous. The front desk staff is so nice and sets a great atmosphere for the office. The dental hygienist made me feel very comfortable and was really nice. Dr. Huang was very nice and considerate and explained procedures in depth.
I have been a patient of Dr. Huang's for the past 2 years since I moved to this area, but prior to that, my whole family had been patients of Dr. Huang's as well. We all have received excellent service from professional staff; even some elective procedures and oral appliances are provided at reasonable prices. They also have early opening hours that are more convenient for busy folks like myself. I'm especially happy that Dr. Huang had an oral appliance made for my father's sleep apnea, which has tremendously improved his snoring. Speaking for myself, I cannot be happier with the care I have received from Dr. Huang and his group of hygienists!
Dr. Huang and his staff are phenomenal. I love coming here. All his oral hygienists do a great job! They offer me sunglasses during teeth cleanings so the bright lights won't shine on my eyes. I live in the East Bay but drive to his office for my semi-annual teeth cleanings. They do a really good job and are constantly asking if I am experiencing any pain or discomfort. They also describe what they are doing as they are cleaning the teeth (ie. "You may experience some discomfort here because the gums are red"). I can attest that they honor their yelp coupon for teeth whitening.
I have been going to Dr. Huang for about 5 years. Never had any issues, and every visit was a pleasant experience. I think Susan is doing a fantastic job juggling appointments and rescheduling if you need to; I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes after I got there, which is a huge thing for me! I've never had a dentist that was so efficient at honoring the actual appointment time! Once, I asked for an urgent appointment for a small chip in a crown, I got it early morning, arrived there a bit earlier and I was out, with the problem fixed, before the actual appointment time! On a different note, there were never any billing issues whatsoever! It really doesn't get much better than that. My only regret with respect to Dr. Huang's practice is that I moved out of state and can't go there anymore... P.S. For some people the cognitive dissonance is so powerful, that they simply cannot accept that other people may have different opinions... Just like the fox from the fable, if the other reviews are not to her liking, they must have been fake/fabricated. I wonder how many "writing styles" there are for writing a review on Yelp... I wonder if my word usage is similar to the other reviews as well, that would be a compliment for me actually, as a non-native English speaker :-) P.S. 2 Of course I am trying to override your review Ally S, because it doesn't represent the truth, in my eyes. You had a bad experience, I'm sorry; I had a great experience, here is my review, that's what Yelp is all about!
I have been a patient with Dr. Huang for the past 25 years and I have been very satisfied with his service. His office staffs are very professional and follow-ups are always covered very well. The hygienists are also very good: giving clear account of what is being done and what to expect next. There are some turnover in the hygienists over the years, so when I get to know one better, then someone new may come along. So far, I have not experienced a bad one though. My son is turning 18 in a month and I have no reservation in sending him to this dentist office. At the point, my whole family will be going to the same place to have our teeth taken care of !
I have been going to Dr. Huang for two years now. This morning I did a quick Google search to find his phone number because I could not remember it off the top of my head. When the search results came up, I was shocked to see that Dr. Huang's practice had only received 1 star on Yelp. I therefore took a few minutes to read the September 1, 2010 review, which was the only review available. Because I wholeheartedly disagree with the aforementioned review, and believe that it paints an unfair and inaccurate picture of Dr. Huang's practice, I felt compelled to write my own review. I first met Dr. Huang about two years ago when a dental emergency arose. At the time, I had not visited a dentist in several years because I was previously in law school, meaning that I was broke and uninsured. At this point I had started my full time job, but was very busy and hadn't made the time for a dentist appointment (admittedly a mistake). So one morning I was brushing my teeth when I noticed something fairly large and hard bouncing around the back of my mouth. To my dismay, i realized that it was a fairly large piece of one of my molars. Not quite sure what to do, I began calling dentists in the area to set up an emergency appointment. Though I made several calls, Dr. Huang's office was the first to call me back (and they returned my call surprisingly quickly for the early hour that I was calling). Within a couple of hours, I was at Dr. Huang's office. Dr. Huang expediently diagnosed the problem, let me know what I had to do, and referred me to a specialist (who turned out to be excellent) to have a dreaded root canal performed (which is actually not as bad as advertised). Thereafter, he did an excellent job of making and putting in a crown, and I have been going there ever since. Everyone at the office is extremely friendly and helpful. Despite the negative 1-star review discussed above, Dr. Huang's hygienist is also great. She is very friendly, always checks to make sure that you are comfortable, and works to get you through the appointment in a timely manner (which is important to me because I am usually trying to get out of there quickly so that I can get into work). With regard to scheduling appointments, they are also extremely accommodating and work around your scheduling issues. And the receptionist could not be nicer - it is always a pleasure to speak to her. Overall, I could not be happier with Dr. Huang's practice, and would highly recommend that anyone looking for a dentist in the South Bay give him a call.
